Educator Endorsements

From an educator who has been evaluating and using Christian and secular curricula for over 26 years:

“I am really impressed by the quality of the teaching materials, both the content and the way the Scripture is so relevantly tied to the content as well as how the open-ended questions allow the learner to really dig deep to find multiple answers and applications with their own unique perspective and the specific challenges they face in their communities.

The materials are both practical and easy to understand as well as packed full of sound, research-based, and proven business practices that have been thoroughly researched and tested.

The curriculum is written to appeal to many different learning styles and cultural nuances. There is a lecture component to appeal to the auditory learner, accompanying PowerPoint slides and graphic organizers for the visual learner, participation components for the interpersonal learners, and reflective components for the intrapersonal learners. There are personal narratives and real-world examples to appeal to the many cultures still practicing the oral tradition of storytelling.

This curriculum not only teaches good business practices but also empowers and provides the learners with the tools for leadership that will continue to bear fruit for diverse communities all over the world for years to come.

From an educator and Business as Mission (BAM) expert for 40+ years:

“StartBook is laid out in such a way that your students will know what it takes to start and grow a business so that when they graduate, they will be fully equipped to do so. That's how confident I am in this curriculum.”

Dr. Tony Foster

Dean and Professor of Transformational Entrepreneurship at Bethany Global University

From a 40-year entrepreneur who taught using CJI curriculum for multiple years:

“I used the GrowBook in my Advanced Business Concepts class as the platform to share with the students the various disciplines for a new business. It is well written and includes many basic steps for the students to apply as they prepare to start the business God has called them to. Many thanks to Creating Jobs for sharing this valuable resource.”

Larry Rohrer

Business Professor at Lancaster Bible College

From a Director of Student Affairs in the largest private university in Honduras:

I have had the privilege of being a witness and active participant in the transformation of the university community through innovative and collaborative initiatives. Since my arrival at the university in 2010, I have witnessed how our institution has cultivated a culture of academic excellence and comprehensive training in various areas. One of the most notable aspects of this culture is the focus on motivating, improving, and training entrepreneurs.

In 2020, an exciting opportunity was presented when Serve Hope CEO Cristian Meléndez proposed a significant collaboration that would change the lives of our student population. This agreement allowed the UTH community to have the opportunity to achieve an Entrepreneurship Diploma, based on fundamental biblical principles. The heart of this diploma lies in the StartBook, which serves as a practical and spiritual guide for participants. With its unique focus on Bible verses, the StartBook empowers students to understand, learn, and apply these principles in business idea generation and entrepreneurial reengineering.

Through this program, more than 500 people have been blessed to date with valuable practical advice. Additionally, we have celebrated the success of 15 seed capital winners, and approximately 1,000 people have received basic training using the resources provided in this manual.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this transformative movement at UTH and as part of this, I commit to continue working in collaboration with organizations such as Serve Hope, Emprende Global, and Creating Jobs Inc. to train and empower all those who wish to delve into their journey towards business and personal success.”

Patricia Montes

Current Director of Student Affairs at UTH University, Siguatepeque Campus

From a Master in Business Management, Independent Consultant, University Professor, and Entrepreneur in Latin America:

“Each of the chapters of GrowBook takes us on a path of learning and constant growth. It includes a biblical base that shows what God teaches us and above all to believe in ourselves. It makes us reflect on the route we are taking, where we want to go, and above all, to do things for the Lord.

The book is definitely the means to transfer knowledge to entrepreneurs, guiding them to focus on their life careers, teaching them how to capture their dreams in a document that allows them to formally represent the business, and develop the entire plan process.

The book proposes an experience on how to do things well, based on examples from other entrepreneurs, implementing strategies for change and constant improvement, with acceptable and easy-to-use language, supporting readers with different references to expand knowledge, to recognize other experiences, and above all, to argue the content of the book.

The book allows a transformation for those businesses committed to implementing it; it teaches us to win and lose in the process, to be able to think broadly about achieving our goals and objectives, to support others to grow, to be efficient and effective in the use of time and money, to take care of the environment that includes our employees, our finances and our personal lives.

The book motivates us to tell others about our good and bad experiences, to create support groups for entrepreneurs, and to be able to follow up on their personal development in Christ and business development.”
