Navigate the winds and tides one stroke faster than the athlete next to you as you start POP with a bang. You’ll circumnavigate Rattlesnake Island, following the bouys back to the Start/Finish line in POP’s toughest challenge. Go for the glory!
1 Mile Fun Paddle to Disappearing Island!
Enjoy complimentary brownies, drinks, and games on gorgeous Disappearing Island before your leisurely paddle back to claim your medal! This is perfect for new paddlers or veterans looking to relax and soak in the scenery.
45 Minute Eco-Tours
We have a paddling eco-tour and a motorized eco-tour for you to choose from. Whether you’re powering your own vessel or relaxing on a pontoon boat, experts on the tidal estuary will teach you about the inlet’s amazing flora and fauna as you see it first-hand!
2 1/2 Mile Kayak & Paddleboard Races
This race around Disappearing Island has the added challenge of a very shallow section which may require improvisation! There will be male and female winners in five classes for both kayakers and paddleboarders. All finishers receive a custom POP medal.
Receive either advanced or beginning paddleboarding lessons from a professional instructor. These half hour sessions will be tailored to your needs, level of expertise, and particular paddleboard. They can be focused on recreational or racing techniques.
1-Mile Relay Races (NEW FOR 2017!)
The crowd will be all over this race since it goes around the small peninsula which hosts POP. The sprinters will paddle around the peninsula, then run the last fifty yards to the finish line. This race can be done by 2 or 4 paddlers and is free this first year. It's gonna rock!
